Who better to pull peoples’ heads out of the sand on climate change awareness than ostriches? Brodeur Partners worked with the National Science Foundation-funded ScienceToGo.org project to create a communications campaign to educate Boston subway commuters on the science of climate change in a fun new way, featuring a flock of 8-foot tall ostriches as multimedia teachers. The campaign also included PR events, digital platforms, posters and placards to extend what people learned in the subways into to realm of social media, garnering nearly 100,000 social impressions, great media coverage, and a huge spike in Twitter and Facebook engagement.
